GRAND JUNCTION, CO ― February 2016 ― GPD Global, a manufacturer of high precision dispensing systems for high-volume 24/7, low-volume/high-mix, and R&D production will exhibit in Booth#1818 at the upcoming IPC APEX EXPO 2016 Conference and Exhibition. The Expo is scheduled to take place March 15-17 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Nevada.
See a live demonstration of 01005 dispensing on the MAX Series High Precision Dispensing System. The system will be configured with the new 062 ultra-fine Precision Auger Pump. This new product extends the previously impossible limits of small volume solder paste dispensing, making 01005 dispensing possible. To further enhance the repeatability of this process, a Real Time Process control system (FPC) can be used to maintain constant fluid flow into the pump from the reservoir. The MAX Series is capable of a wide variety of dispense applications including Low-to-High Volume, Solder Paste, Conductive Adhesive, Underfill, Surface Mount Adhesive, etc.
The intuitively programmed Island Series Dispenser will demonstrate benchtop operations. Real time process control (FPC) will be demonstrated with a time-pressure system, a major enhancement for this basically simple dispense method. Operators no longer need to make pressure adjustments during the dispense process. A constant supply of the correct amount of fluid is delivered to the pump regardless of fluid level in the reservoir. The Island Series systems are compatible with all GPD dispense pumps.
GPD Global will also exhibit a full range of dispense pumps used on GPD dispense systems. These pumps are available for Custom Integration. Pumps on display will include the versatile Precision Auger Pump which can dispense low-to-high volumes with a simple change-over. Interfacing the pump with your system is easy with the new, enhanced Precision Auger pump Controller. Learn how to monitor your dispense process in real time with the Fluid Pressure Control (FPC) system. An offline FPC controller and hardware will be on display for demonstration. A Jetting process can now be integrated with your dispense system by interfacing the NCM5000 Jetting Pump and benchtop controller. This jetting pump is compatible with a wide range of liquids, from UV encapsulants to underfills and SMT adhesives. To round out the pumps lineup, the Volumetric Pump Series (PCD) will be on display. This continuously volumetric pump dispenses low-to-high viscosity greases with outstanding repeatability over the full range of fluid pot life.
Along with our full line of dispenseing equipment, the component prep and Peel Back Force Tester product lines will also be on display.
The Peel Back Force Tester (PBFT), used to measure the peel back force of carrier tape, utilizes FORCEWare™ software which has set the SMT carrier packaging industry standard. The Peel Back Force Tester supplies carrier tape pull back force data to ensure only in spec components reels are supplied to pick & place systems. The FORCEWare™ software makes measuring, setting up, and recording of test results easy and customizable for all your testing needs.
The CF8 Axial Lead Forming System meets exacting military standards for axial taped or bulk components while eliminating component body stress. The CF8 delivers consistent results for components being formed either vertically or horizontally at a rate of up to 25,000 parts per hour.
The CF9 Radial Lead Forming System is designed to form and cut 2- and 3-leaded taped components such as TO-92’s, capacitors, transistors, and LED’s. This system is designed to precisely and repeatedly form standard as well as special formed lead configurations with ease and consistency at a rate of 25,000 parts per hour.
