3.1. Pressure differential switch setup

About this task

The pressure differential switch is located inside the rear cabinet door.

Procedure

  1. Test the pressure switch input:
    1. Turn on the air extraction system to full power.
    2. Check operation of the pressure switch input; it should be ON.
    3. Turn off the air extraction system.
    4. Check operation of the pressure switch input; it should be OFF.
  2. Lower the extraction rate until 200-220 CFM registers at the exhaust port.
  3. Repeat the pressure switch input test. If the pressure switch is OFF, adjust until input just turns ON.
  4. Turn off the air extraction system and verify the pressure switch output turns OFF.
  5. Lower the extraction rate to 160-180 CFM at the exhaust port.
  6. Verify the pressure switch input turns OFF.
If input stays ON, slowly turn the adjustment screw clockwise until the input turns OFF.
  7. Re-check the input.
The pressure switch should still turn ON with 200-220 CFM.
